Golden hues that range from warm yellow to amber are some of my favorite colors. From honey and lemons to lanterns and leaves, these shades bring the feel of sunshine.

flowerful friday

This is the hottest and sunniest summer in Wisconsin that I can remember. With a long stretch of days in the 100s it's as if we've been picked up and dropped down somewhere much further south. Sunflowers seem to embody everything that is this summer - their sturdy golden petals are like intense rays of sunshine.

all that glitters

Just because it's Monday doesn't mean we can't enjoy a little glitz and shine. And what better way than surrounding ourselves in the warmth of golden hues? I'm partial to gold - I like the way it reflects, shines, and creates a warm light like nothing else.
