Hostas provide gardens with lovely foliage in a variety of solid and variegated colors and patterns. They seem to be essential to any shade garden. Though the leaves are what hostas are usually prized for, I happen to find their flowers so pretty too. From a few almost exotic blooms, to masses of blossoms, to more restraint singular flowers - they all add another touch of beauty to a garden.
